Quickstart Guide
Schnelle Konfiguration
Have your feedback widget live in 15 minutes. Configure your first questions, set up triggers, and match your brand — no developer required.
Start ConfigurationStep 1
Widget Configuration
Create your first feedback form in three moves. FeedBackPro ships with eight question types — rating scales, multiple choice, open text, NPS, CSAT, CES, emoji reactions, and product-specific prompts.
1. Install the snippet
Copy the 42-line JavaScript snippet from Settings → Integration and paste it before the closing </body> tag. Works out of the box with Shopware 6, WooCommerce, Shopify, and custom stacks. The widget loads asynchronously and adds less than 18 ms to your LCP.
2. Pick a template
Choose one of the four starter templates — Post-Purchase Survey, Support Ticket Feedback, Browse Abandonment Check, or Product Review Prompt. Each template includes pre-written questions, sensible defaults, and GDPR-compliant data handling. You can always build from scratch later.
3. Define your questions
Start with two to four questions max. A proven combo: one 1–5 star rating, one multiple-choice follow-up ("What can we improve?"), and one optional open text field. Label your questions clearly — "How was your checkout experience?" performs 23 % better than "Rate us."
Save your draft and click Preview to see the widget as your visitors will. Make adjustments, then hit Publish to go live.
Step 2
Trigger Setup
Control exactly when and where your widget appears. FeedBackPro supports six trigger types — page view, time delay, scroll depth, button click, exit intent, and event-based (e.g., after a "Thank You" page loads).
Page View Triggers
Show the widget on specific URLs or URL patterns. Example: activate only on /thank-you/* or /support/tickets/*. Use URL exclusions to skip admin pages, checkout steps, and internal staff routes. Each trigger supports include and exclude rules.
Time & Scroll Triggers
Delay the widget by 15–120 seconds to let users settle, or fire it once they scroll past 60 % of the page. For product pages, a 30-second delay plus 50 % scroll depth yields the highest response rates without annoying visitors.
Exit Intent & Event Triggers
Detect when the cursor moves toward the browser close button and present a lightweight "Before you go — quick feedback?" prompt. Event triggers let you hook into custom JavaScript events like fbp:orderComplete or fbp:chatEnded for precise timing.
Set a frequency cap to avoid showing the same form more than once per visitor within 7 days. Combine multiple triggers with AND/OR logic in Settings → Advanced Triggers.
Step 3
Basic Customization
Make the widget feel like it belongs on your site. Adjust colors, positioning, language, and branding in the visual editor — no CSS knowledge needed.
Colors & Position
Pick your primary and background colors from the palette or enter custom hex codes. Position the widget in one of four corners — bottom-right is the default and generates the most engagement. Choose between slide-in panel, modal overlay, or inline embed mode.
Language & Tone
FeedBackPro ships with full German and English translations out of the box. Switch languages per trigger or auto-detect from the browser. Edit every label, placeholder, and button text directly in the editor. Use a friendly tone — "Tell us how we did" outperforms "Submit feedback" by 14 points in completion rate.
Branding & Legal
Add your logo to the widget header, show or hide the "Powered by FeedBackPro" badge, and configure the privacy notice. The widget includes a built-in GDPR consent checkbox and links to your privacy policy. Data is stored on EU servers in Frankfurt (AWS eu-central-1).
Once you're satisfied, click Save & Publish. Your widget goes live instantly across all configured pages. Check the Dashboard → Live View to watch responses roll in real time.
